Married at Westbury Church and reception at Hatton Court
Their eyes met from across the bakery and well the rest was history.
The excitement began at Rachel's parent's house in Westbury, with the hustle and bustle of the bridal party and professionals. It was brilliant to see some seasoned wedding suppliers such as Sandie (Sandra Elizabeth Bridal Hair and Make up) and Joni Bell (Joni Bell Professional Make up Artist) working their magic on the bridal party.
After Rachel gave her beautiful bridesmaid’s their gifts, it was time to get the bride into her vintage gown. The lace gown took centre stage during the bridal preparations, Rachel spent most of her time helping her bridesmaid’s and mother ready; which really shows her caring nature. Knowing both the bride and groom for several years prior to the big day, helping Rachel get into her dress was one of the best parts of the day; as I was able to get this beautiful shot.
The race was on to get to the beautiful rural church of Westbury on Severn, which holds a special place in Rachel's family's heart. Meeting the very cool, calm and collected Groom and his two best men, it was the perfect time to grab a shot of the boys looking very cool.
The boys took their places at the front of the church, giving the groom the best pep talk possible. Within minutes the bride arrived with her father. This again was one of the most magical shots I have taken on a wedding day.
The service was beautiful, incorporating some lovely stories about the couple and the journey they have taken so far. I can say with confidence that there was not a dry eye throughout the 45-minute service, including myself which can cause a slight issue in being able to capture this intimate moment.
We were able to take a few quick shots of the new Mr and Mrs Woodward and their guests before the convey of cars made their way to the stunning Hatton Court.
Arriving promptly at Hatton Court, located in Gloucester. The reception was well under way. More group shots were taken while the guests enjoyed a glass of champagne or two.
My Favourite part of any wedding is stealing the bride and groom away for the first few pictures together, it is fantastic way to catch up on the day and take a breather from the whirlwind.
The speeches were completed after the guests enjoyed an amazing three course meal. As the groom had two best men, it was a treat for all the guests to get more of a comedy duo who dished the dirt on the groom. Father of the bride and groom Ian, had some beautiful speeches which really topped off a beautiful day.
The Bride and groom proceeded to cut the beautiful cake from Marks and Spencer's while the guests got their dancing shoes ready to start off the wedding reception.
The new Mr and Mrs Woodward took to the dancefloor for their first dance, this was far from as we call in the trade an "awkward shuffle". Ian and Rachel pulled out some of their best moves and had the most fun.
To top off a beautiful day, Natasha Meek Photography set up a small photo booth for guests to have fun making even more memories with friends and family. Here is a small snap shot of the bride and groom having fun.
